• I started working with Monica in January after a very indulgent vacation and holiday season. She set me up with food tracking but most importantly a daily protein goal. This was all new to me. At first it seemed very daunting but once I got the hang of it it was actually quite easy. I never knew how much protein played such a huge part in my diet. Made a world of difference and soon the progress was happening. From January to the end of May I dropped over 30 pounds but more importantly my body fat loss was a huge change. I went from starting at just over 33% to finishing at 22.2%. I’ve learned how to eat within a caloric budget with a focus on protein which made an incredible difference. At the end I was almost five pounds lower than my goal weight! Monica’s support, encouragement and knowledge made it so much easier than I could ever have done on my own. Highly recommend to anybody struggling to get on track and reach their fitness goals.

  • I came to Monica 5 months postpartum with horrible hip pain that I kept being told would go away on its own but was impeding me from living my life. I knew I needed to do something about my physical health but I just didn't even know where to start. Monica assured me that she could help me, that there would be no judgment, just information that would help me succeed. I'd never had success losing weight on my own and definitely had never sustained any weight loss but if I kept doing what I was doing, I'd stay in the same place. Not only has Monica's program helped me lose weight, I feel like a completely different person than I was when I started. Within a month, the hip pain that had been plaguing me was just gone. I had more energy, I was sleeping better, I didn't have the cravings for sugar and carbs that I had before. And I wasn't missing out on things that I enjoyed eating - Monica helped me modify them. Crucially, Monica was checking in with me, talking me through things that were working and maybe things that weren't. Monica's experience, knowledge and judgment-free support has given me a better understanding of how my body works and what I need to do to keep it functioning well. She helped me understand that food isn't good or bad, it just is, that if I indulge a bit at one meal, it's not the end of the world, I can try again with my next meal. I've worked so many of her recipes into my rotation - what was life before those protein pancakes?! I have more confidence in my physical body which has spilled over into other aspects of my life - even my house looks better! I cannot say enough how much Monica's program has helped me. I recommend her to anyone who expresses any kind of the same feelings or struggles I was having 6 months ago. You will never know what you're capable of if you don't try.

  • I signed up with Monica after deciding that I needed to put an end to the temptation of tasty foods with zero nutritional value which ended up being very unfulfilling. Factoring in an incredibly busy life with a demanding job and 3 little humans, diet and nutrition just became an after thought. We decided on 2 months with the goal of losing 10 pounds during that timeframe. It was not going to be easy and it was going to take a tremendous amount of commitment to permanently alter my relationship with food. Little did I know that my pre-conceived biases of what a ‘healthy diet’ looked like was about to be completely abolished. Monica is incredibly self-aware and will help you become mindful of your own goals, deficiencies and support you to frame a positive and healthy projection of yourself. The recipes that she has you start on are so incredibly easy and fast to prepare. As with a lot of young families, time, efficiency and taste is very important. The simple ingredients required and the lack of preparation time was a big hit with us and the kids absolutely LOVE the meals; so much so that a number of the recipes are now weekly staples in our household. The 2 months turned out to be an incredibly positive experience and I lost the 10 lbs before our time was up. My clothes fit much more comfortably and I liked the way I looked in the mirror but more importantly, our entire family had adjusted to this lifestyle and the changes we have seen make me wonder why I didn’t do this sooner. Will Monica toot your horn when you’ve killed a solid day of meal planning and hit your macro goals? 100%. Will there be hilarious banter when she (lovingly) calls you out on your 2nd day in a row of consuming cinnamon buns for breakfast, then beer and cheeseburgers for dinner? Yes, but she’ll also celebrate that with you because we all deserve to go off the rails (eating, that is) once in a while. As the Monica Mantra goes: Life Is Balance.

  • Almost 5 months ago I was sick of feeling terrible about myself physically. I was heavier than I'd ever been and had a very unhealthy relationship with food. I knew I needed to do something if I were to be around for my daughter for many years to come. On a whim I messaged Monica and decided to sign up for her 3 month program. I can't say enough good things about her and her coaching. I never felt deprived and still enjoyed a lot of the foods I was eating before, just in a more conscious way. Never once did I feel judged and I appreciated her check ins when it looked like I was struggling. At the end of the 3 months I was down 22 lbs with nutrition alone.
